nope because then you open the door for people who want to marry their dogs to have buttsex with them. some dogs are p.smart but all the science agrees, no dog is capable of consenting to buttsex. we can’t let the nonconsensual buttsexers marry dogs, therefore we can’t let anyone marry a dog.

it’s completely different with regular people because humans as a species are capable of consent and intelligent discourse, that’s why it should be okay to marry someone of the same gender, or perhaps an attractive second cousin.
